Tanya played soccer and graduated from Craig High School in 1999, where she was a first-state all conference midfielder and a member of the only team in school history to make 3 trips to WIAA state competition. She was then recruited to division 2 UW-Parkside, where she graduated with a biochemistry, secondary education, and coaching degree. Tanya currently teaches science and is the activities director at Bradford High School. She is also the girls varsity soccer coach there. She has been coaching soccer since she was 17 years old and has a national D license. She has coached for Janesville United Soccer Club, Janesville YMCA and Leisure Services, Craig High School, Case High School, Bradford High School, and United FC.
